What is Coasteering?
Forget the rules of the beach, with us you are free. Scale giant cliffs, dive freely into the sea, explore the caves and crevices that the coast has to offer and feel as free as an eagle as you leap and jump from cliff to cliff, rock to rock and land to sea.
We offer an extreme coasteering package along the scenic North Devon coast. This is not for the faint hearted, but it is truly the experience of a lifetime. Coasteering involves a
mixture of scrambling, sea-level cliff jumping, wild swimming and hiking, making it the perfect all-round activity to get hearts racing and friends bonding over plenty of laughs! There is no previous experience required besides being a confident swimmer, so coasteering is ideal for people of all ages and abilities.
Some of the comments we have had about this particular expedition are ‘adrenaline-fuelled’, ‘a real buzz’ and ‘simply amazing!’ It makes our job worthwhile to see people achieve their personal best, exceed their own expectations and knock down their boundaries – all through the fun and adventurous activity of coasteering!

If you’re going to go coasteering, you may as well do it somewhere spectacular
Our coasteering sessions take place along the rugged coastline around Baggy Point near Croyde, one of the most dramatic and beautiful stretches of the Devon coast. Think towering sea cliffs, hidden sea caves, crystal-clear Atlantic water and rock formations that look like they were designed specifically for jumping off. Which, as far as we’re concerned, they were.
This isn’t a gentle paddle. This is a full-on, salt-in-your-face, sea-in-your-wellies adventure. But it’s also completely accessible — our experienced and fully qualified instructors are with you every step of the way, reading the conditions, choosing the right spots and making sure the whole group has the time of their lives safely.
What Makes Our Coasteering Sessions Different?
We’ve been running coasteering experiences in North Devon for years, and we know these waters and this coastline inside out. Every session is led by qualified instructors who genuinely love what they do — and that enthusiasm is contagious. We don’t just take you from A to B; we find the best jumps, the most interesting caves and the moments that’ll have you talking about this trip for years.
All equipment is provided and included in the price. That means wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets and full safety kit – everything you need to take on the North Devon coast with confidence. You just need to bring an old pair of trainers, some shorts and a willingness to get very, very wet.
Fair Warning: There is no dry way to do coasteering. There is, however, a very happy way.
Perfect for Groups, Parties and Everyone in Between
Coasteering in North Devon is one of our most popular activities for larger groups, and it’s not hard to see why. There’s something about leaping into the Atlantic together that breaks down barriers, creates instant memories and turns a group of colleagues, friends or strangers into a proper team.
It’s a brilliant choice for stag and hen parties looking for something beyond the predictable, corporate groups wanting a genuine team building challenge, school trips and youth groups after a proper adventure, and families with older children who want to do something genuinely memorable with their time in Devon. Sessions start from £40 per person, with discounts available for larger groups.
If our scheduled sessions don’t work for your dates, we’re always happy to arrange private coasteering sessions for groups — just get in touch and we’ll sort something out. You can also read our full Guide to Coasteering in North Devon to find out more about what to expect. What people say
As a family of five who like to try new things, I can’t recommend this enough. The staff member who helped us was top class. Friendly, accommodating and keen. Although, we were all at different levels of experience, some of us complete notices at climbing – we all managed to spend an enjoyable couple of hours.
Really good day out and cater for all levels of ability. As complete beginners we were a bit nervous to begin with but soon got up to speed. Very good value for money.
To arrange a weekend that is a bit different and feels special is becoming harder to do so it was refreshing ti find somewhere that was happy to listen to our thoughts and ideas and let us run with them. Had a fantastic weekend that combined indoor climbing, raft building challenged and a monster design and build task to product a melon flinging catapult in a morning on a budget of £100. All in a really good time had by all with very relaxed and friendly staff. Would recommend for arranging those vents that are a bit more specialised.
I have been climbing here on and off for almost 4 years now. I keep coming back. This is by far one of the most friendly, helpful and safe climbing centres I have ever been to. The staff are constantly on guard for any mishaps and are very approachable with any and all concerns Especially talking through hypothetical situations and scenarios. Their knowledge is current and at the highest level. Definitely a place to go, and keep going.
I started climbing here about a year ago and love the atmosphere and people I meet. Ladies might, on a Monday which is run by Simmo has become a weekly must. (the coffee is pretty awesome too.) Great instruction is given on technique including safety) plus games are put together to improve climbing ability. I bring my nieces here and they love it. It’s exercise without feeling like you’re i a gym. I can’t recommend it enough!
We visited this whole on our holiday on a rainy day, my son enjoyed it so much he wanted to go back so we did. Twice! The staff are super friendly and very knowledgable. We will no doubt be back next year!
