Job details:
Successful candidates will join our team of enthusiastic instructors at our indoor climbing wall in South Molton.
You will be responsible for coaching climbers, creating a safe and friendly environment for customers, and assisting in the daily running of the centre.
From one-on-one taster sessions to kids’ clubs and groups, you will be facilitating fun and safe climbing at all levels.
Personal specifications:
The ideal candidate will be a natural leader, with strong communication skills and the ability to relate to people with a range of individual and collective needs.
You will also be passionate about climbing, ideally dedicating your own personal time to climbing indoors and out. Successful candidates will be eager to share your love of the sport, helping every customer fulfil their potential on the wall.
Required experience:
Successful applicants must be CWI qualification holders. Experience in delivering climbing coaching sessions and NICAS sessions will be beneficial to your application.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled facilitator, able to adapt their style to clients of all levels and backgrounds.
From organising fun activities for birthday parties to individually coaching climbers to improve their technique, you will be able to make climbing both accessible and engaging at all levels.

Job details:
As a Multi-Activity Instructor, you will be responsible for leading a range of outdoor activity sessions for groups of all levels and backgrounds. From watersports to climbing and much more, you will use these activities to improve the confidence, motivation and core life skills of participants, encouraging them to make positive changes in their lives.
The job will be located at our camped site in Brecon Beacons

The ideal candidate will be a natural leader and skilled facilitator, with strong communication skills and the ability to relate to participants with a range of individual and collective needs.
Successful candidates will have a genuine love of outdoor activities, dedicating their own personal time to enhancing their skills and experience in a range of sports.
You will be able to adapt your instructing style to a variety of clients and be completely committed to the outdoors.
Required experience:
Successful candidates must have experience of delivering team challenges in outdoor environments. Experience leading sessions involving SUP, kayaking, raft building and leading walks is highly desirable, as is experience leading residential activity programs with young people.
Applicants must be aged 18 or over and will preferably hold, or be working towards one or more of the following national governing body qualifications:
* RCI or CWI
* Paddlesport Instructor or Higher
* Lowland Leaders or Higher
Experience in one or more of the following would be a great advantage:
– Team building
– Raft building
– Taster session

We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic Apprentice Activity Instructor to join our team of instructors at Rock and Rapid Adventure Centre, North Devon.
Job details:
Successful candidates will join our team of enthusiastic instructors at our indoor climbing wall in South Molton, and also get first hand experience of various other adventurous activities.
You will assist our climbing instructors in coaching climbers, creating a safe and friendly environment for customers, and assisting in the daily running of the centre.
From one-on-one taster sessions to kids’ clubs and groups, you will assist in facilitating fun and safe climbing at all levels.
You will be a key member of our instructional team, not only working within the climbing wall, but also delivering various activities to a wide range of groups. From a School residential to a stag group, no two days will ever be the same.
Personal specifications:
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to relate to people from any background. You will work well under instruction and be a strong team player, but also be able to use your own initiative in the workplace.
You will also be a keen climber in your own personal life, dedicating your free time to climbing indoors and outdoors.
Required experience:
The ideal candidate will be a keen climber, with skills and knowledge in top rope, lead climbing and bouldering and have a passion for the outdoors. Whilst no specific qualifications are required, certifications in sports-related fields – whether it be a GCSE, BTEC or other credentials – would be a benefit.
